Acid Reflux Remedies Children
It occurs when the ring of muscles known as the lower oesophageal sphincter becomes relaxed to an unnatural degree and is responsible for the acidic content of the stomach flowing back into the oesophagus. This is a very common cause of heartburn and indigestion in the countries of the developed world. Prolonged attacks can also lead to a condition known as oesophagitis, which is when repeated incidents of acid reflux lead to an inflammation of the inner lining of the oesophagus. Identifying the symptoms early is a major key in formulating the correct treatment and reducing the pain caused by the condition.

The pace of life is faster than it’s ever been before. People are always on the go, seldom allowing time for preparing and sitting down to meals.
When we don’t pay attention to what our bodies tell us about the foods we should be avoiding, acid reflux, also known as GERD or gastroesophageal reflux disease, is often the result. It happens when the sphincter found at the bottom of the esophagus does not seal the way it should, allowing acids from the stomach to come up through the esophagus to the throat and mouth. The result is a continual burning sensation in the chest and throat, and a sour taste in the mouth.
In the past, it was usually believed that spicy foods were the primary problem. However, they may not be causing your episodes at all. Many foods and beverages can cause the sphincter in the esophagus to relax, which is why it’s so important to avoid those foods when combating acid reflux disease.

Acid Reflux
Acid reflux, also known as “reflux esophagitis”, is an inflammation of the esophagus caused by regurgitation of the contents of the stomach. Acid reflux is most often recognized by its symptom of “heartburn” which reportedly affects 1 out of every 10 adults in the U.S. on a daily basis. When stomach acid leaks back up into the oesophagus, it is called acid reflux. Normally the sphincter, a muscle at the join between the oesophagus and stomach, tightens up to stop acid and food coming back up out of the stomach. Acid reflux happens when the sphincter does not work very well, or when the stomach is very full (for example, after a large meal).
Causes of Acid Reflux
Anyone who a large amount of acidic foods can have mild and temporary heartburn. This is especially true when lifting, bending over, or taking a nap after eating a large meal high in fatty, acidic foods. Persistent GERD, however, may be due to various conditions, including abnormal biologic or structural factors.Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) develops when stomach acid and juices back up, or reflux, into the esophagus, the muscular tube that connects the throat to the stomach. This happens when the valve between the lower end of the esophagus and the stomach (the lower esophageal sphincter) does not close tightly enough.

I currently have acid reflux and was wondering if it was related to the diet I had been doing for a few months. I was eating mainly berries (particularly strawberries and raspberries) and bananas and a lot of water. I didn’t really think it was a bad thing at the time since it was fruit, but now I’m starting to wonder if the reflux was a sign of malnutrition or something.
